Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is ranked 2nd Best University of India as per new ranking released by the U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News & World Report is a multi-platform publisher of news and information, which includes www.usnews.com and www.rankingsandreviews.com. U.S. News publishes annual print and e-book versions of its authoritative rankings of Best Colleges, Best Graduate Schools and Best Hospitals.
In 2012 U.S. News launched a conference division focusing on important national conversations and solutions in STEM Education and Hospitals of Tomorrow. U.S. News and World Report traces its history back to the weekly newspaper the United States News founded by David Lawrence in 1933.
In its ranking concerning best institutions in India, US-News ranks Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) as the best institution in India. Among full-fledged universities, Punjab University (Chandigarh) is ranked first followed by Aligarh Muslim University (Aligarh) at 2nd slot.
