Appreciate the University that has provisions for some architecture of student unions, in its infrastructure, to empower an elected student body who can exercise student rights seeking fulfillment of their genuine demands and their grievances to be redressed in a significant democratic manner. A union is not just a group of people but a democratic representation of masses, the masses who otherwise strive to be advocated by the candidature for they cast their votes and elect them. Candidature needs not to forget that being empowered in certain manner calls for shouldering certain responsibilities, in a way which needs to be ethically sound. In the wake of AMUSU elections the candidature needs to calculate their capabilities to cultivate a student friendly environment in order to uphold the legacy of Aligarh Muslim University not only at national but at global levels too.

One for all. A student union shall function only after setting a common minimum agenda for the session by researching into the demands, needs and rights of the common students or the electorate. Here a point needs to be pondered upon is that the recent past has witnessed something called ‘Chocolate- Candy Politics’ on the campus. So, if it is the case then mere circumstantialism needs a check not to mouth platitudes anymore but to prove an ethically sound representation where student identity may not fall for any crisis.

Dear Candidature, cultivate among aligs the importance of education and not just the importance of attendance. Alig brethren is witnessing the need of attendance on the campus more than the need for education which reduces to various conclusions and one among those can be understood as the students , the aligs, show unwillingness for the academics which has fatal consequences in the future.

Candidature needs to feel better by serving the electorate. Electorate always would rather believe than know. Their belief shall not trample under politics but be assured by a ubiquitous faith cultivated practically to keep them intact as an essential part of the university forever. The students need not be treated as sheer masses but be perceived as the future of future. Today’s step will cast its print to be observed by the future of the campus. There needs not only some insecure perception of any future political suicide by the candidature but needs a space for student service. The service shall really crave for emancipating candidature, electorate and the resultant union from any hegemonic, undemocratic bias and prejudice and also from any egotism to ward off every egomania begetting vested interests.

Aligarh Muslim University has a great past, needs not any recall. Oxford of the east has been its enjoyed title. It has served as a common platform for all its students and has always set priorities for its students to value them, hone their talent and to take care of them in every respect. The Aligarh Academics has its world renowned Alumni serving humanity across the globe. Take it just an example. Other cases are also there that you guys know better. Don’t behave just as a political party with an eye on your own individual political future, if any, but serve the student community and the university keeping all eyes on the future of this institution. University is as an asset as are the students. It is a glued case that needs to be fixed stout for a shining future. Lastly, being a student first and being the same student later is what keeps the dawn and dusk of any university witness peace and harmony in its functioning.

All the very best.
