[64th Convocation] Proud Young Ladies of AMU !

Recently AMU held its 64th convocation on November 01, 2016. Prof. Takaaki Kajita, Nobel Lureate (Physics-2015) was conferred upon Honorary Doctorate  by the AMU. Apart from Prof. Kajita and his contribution to the Science, feat of young ladies of AMU remained talk of the town.
On this occasion, about 5,000 degrees and 215 medals were given away to the students of undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. About sixty five percent of medals were awarded to female students.
Ms Hina Mukhtar (BUMS) received five medals while Ms Sameera Khan (BA LLB) received four medals.
Ms Sameera also received the Ghulam Husain Vahanwati Award with Rs 50, 000 cheque from Mrs Nafisa Vahanwati. Ghulam Husain Vahanwati was former Attorney Genral of India.

The President of India, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal was received by Lata Udsaiya for over-all Best Performance.
Anam Hashmi received the Ved Ram Nagar Memorial Gold Medal; Fouzia Maraam receive the Seema Usmani Gold Medal; Deeksha Singh received Prof Jalaluddin Gold Medal.
Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal was received by Lata Udsaiya for over-all Best Performance
Simmi Anjum received the Prof Usman M Adhami Gold Medal;
Umrah Zahoor received Syed Zahoor Qasim Gold Medal and
Sidra Ghazali Rizvi received Dr Jawaid Iqbal Memorial Gold Medal.
Several other medals were also awarded on the occasion.
